Why should I invest funds in TYSB verse other opportunities I am considering?

It is hard to be a small business all the time – but the challenges presented by Covid-19 have made it incredibly difficult. The average small business owner is working tirelessly to innovate, rebound, and stay in business. They do not need more marketing or ads trying to sell them something – what they need is people rallying around them to offer support and celebrate their tenacity. Thank You Small Business is your chance to spend a minimal amount of money and help us create something special. Through the TYSB movement, you have an opportunity to develop new content, create brand loyalty, have a feel-good press moment, and increase goodwill within the global small business community for less than the cost of traditional marketing. What exactly do I get for $10,000?

For $10,000 USD, you will get:

  • A Thank You Small Business Campaign, which includes your logo added indefinitely as a Partner on the TYSB website and the Partner page of our TYSB Quarterly E-Mag;
  • A press release issued in your country announcing that you have joined the TYSB Movement;
  • A custom-designed social media campaign, TY T-shirt and TY Card;
  • A print run of 100 t-shirts with your custom design, and;
  • $2,500 of the budget allocated to give out Thank You Prizes to real small businesses sponsored by you.
How does the custom social campaign work?

Our communications team will create five beautifully designed social graphics incorporating your company’s branding into the TYSB branding. Once your team has given the sign off on the images, we will share them via the TYSB social channels and share them with your content team to use freely as part of your company’s content strategy.

How do we design our custom TY Merch and TY Cards?

Our design team will create a custom design using your logo and key elements of your branding, taglines, and other assets that work with the overall Thank You branding. Our aim is for the design to be fresh, modern, and attractive so that people would be proud to wear the merch and send cards to small business owners. We do not want it to look like corporate wear.

Once your team has signed off on the final design, we will do a print run of 100 t-shirts so you can distribute it to your company’s staff so they can proudly showcase their small business love.

We will also give you access to an account containing your TY Card design and we strongly encourage you to create a campaign to send out TY cards to your customers base and small businesses in your community as an act of thanks.

How is the $2500 TY Prize contribution managed?

We commit to allocating $2500 of your $10,000 contribution to fund TY Prizes to deserving small business owners in the form of no-strings-attached cash prizes, tangible resources and/or fun experiences to help make their dreams come true. Ideally, these funds would be added to our general TY Prize budget without any specific parameters attached as there is no room in the budget to include custom management.

If you would like to target a specific category of small business owners, we can work together to ensure that your funding is used to support business owners that fit within your geographic footprint and represent any particular demographics that you would like to help directly.

If you like the idea of running a branded TY Prize campaign, we encourage you to work with our team and create a custom campaign.

What reach can I expect for my investment?

The power of TYSB is the network of fellow Partners, Champions, and small businesses who have received TY Prizes and have been profiled in our TY Stories. When we release your custom social campaign and our Quarterly E-Mag, we ask that all involve also share it out to their network, dramatically increasing our reach. The combined network of our current global community results in well over 1M+ direct impressions. Your launch press release will also be sent out with paid distribution, increasing your exposure and press mentions. Finally, the TY Merch and Cards will allow you to engage your employees reaching hundreds of real small business owners, creating a very direct reach to your core clientele. Like everything, the more you collaborate with us, the more people we can generate.

What Additional Opportunities are available for Partnership and what exactly do I get?

The $10,000 Partner option is meant to be simple, easy, and fun, getting you engaged in the movement without taking a significant amount of time or money. If you believe in the mission of TYSB and want to do more, we would love that! We can work together to “add on” to your basic Partnership in the following ways:

  • Work together to create a Special Edition E-Mag focused on a topic important to your brand, releasing it to the entire TYSB community for sharing and distribution and through our social channels through a promotional campaign. (i.e., if you are an online therapy company, we create a special E-mag edition on small businesses’ resilience and the mental health challenges associated with it.)
  • Increase the size of your TYSB Merch order and use the additional hats, hoodies, t-shirts, or other items to create a large scale employee engagement initiative and/or send them out to small businesses in your community as a TY gift. (i.e., ordering an additional 500 Thank You Tumblers and give one to each member of your customer service team, creating an employee engagement and training moment for your front-line employees who connect with small businesses daily.)
  • Launch a large scale TY Card campaign to thank real small business owners. (i.e., creating a company-wide “Thank You Day” where every employee sends one personalized TY Card to a real small business owner that they love, creating a groundswell of thanks and feel-good moments.)
  • Create a branded TY Prize campaign focused on gifting more cash, more tangible resources and/or fun experiences to deserving small businesses, generating high media exposure and small business loyalty. (i.e., if you are an airline, create a contest to give out ten international flights to outstanding small businesses.)
Can I send promotional emails or make special offers via TYSB?

Not at the $10,000 Partner buy-in. At this level, all of our team’s energy will go towards launching our partnership in the right way, in the process, helping as many small businesses as possible. If you make an additional investment and would like to purchase one of our other opportunities as an extra, not only will we collaborate closely with your team to ensure your brand is rightfully represented, but we will also include any special offers and opportunities in the campaign that your brand is working on.

Do I have access to the Champions?

Yes! Our growing global network of TY Champions are movers and shakers in their local communities and economies. We highly recommend that you do something special for those Champions – which we are happy to facilitate at no cost – as a way to build loyalty from them to your brand.

How long does the Partnership last?

Your logo will remain on the TYSB website and E-Mag Partner Page indefinitely. Once you are a TYSB Partner – you will stay a TYSB Partner indefinitely! The press release, custom social campaign, TY Prize giveaways, and custom TY Merch and TY Cards campaign will all launch over a 90-120 day period. We hope that the first partnership engagement will go so well that you continue to work with TYSB and launch ongoing campaigns.

What is my relationship with other Partners?

There is no official relationship with other Partners. However, we will be sharing Impact Partner Reports with all of you, connecting you all to network and so you can hopefully collaborate outside of TYSB, and engaging you all for ongoing strategy and optimization of the movement. You will be instantly connected to peers from leading B2SMB brands who are also thinking less about marketing and more about supporting small businesses.

If TYSB is global, how do I get value if my focus is on a specific region or country?

TYSB is a global movement, and we believe that what makes it really special is that we bring Partners and Champions from all over the world together to support small business owners worldwide. While there are unique challenges that businesses from specific regions or countries face, the overall premise of TYSB stands everywhere in the world. That being said, we will target your campaign to the region you want to reach when we can.

Practically speaking, it means that your custom press release, social campaign, and TY Prize budget will focus on the area in which you operate, but your logo inclusion will reach a global audience. We encourage brands to come together, rally around small businesses, and be all-in, all of us, together. At a $10,000 contribution level, we cannot offer category exclusivity. If category exclusivity is essential to you, we ask that you spend a minimum of $50,000 USD – $10,000 Basic Partner Package + $40,000 in jointly designed additional opportunities.

How do I measure my ROI?

Ultimately, what we ask is that you remember that TYSB is not about you – it is about the small businesses. The Basic Partner Package Pricing should represent a small percentage of your company’s overall marketing budget and, therefore, has a small risk associated with it. Keep in mind that Silver Lining does not make any money to implement all of the movement’s activities. We are purely doing it because it is the right thing to do, and we believe that small businesses deserve to be marketed to less and supported more.

We want to build a partnership with you that is genuinely SMB first – where our primary measure of ROI is how many small businesses we can celebrate and support.

How does the custom social campaign work?

Our communications team will create five beautifully designed social graphics incorporating your company’s branding into the TYSB branding. Once your team has given the sign off on the images, we will share them via the TYSB social channels and share them with your content team to use freely as part of your company’s content strategy.

How do we design our custom TY Merch and TY Cards?

Our design team will create a custom design using your logo and key elements of your branding, taglines, and other assets that work with the overall Thank You branding. Our aim is for the design to be fresh, modern, and attractive so that people would be proud to wear the merch and send cards to small business owners. We do not want it to look like corporate wear.

Once your team has signed off on the final design, we will do a print run of 100 t-shirts so you can distribute it to your company’s staff so they can proudly showcase their small business love.

We will also give you access to an account containing your TY Card design and we strongly encourage you to create a campaign to send out TY cards to your customers base and small businesses in your community as an act of thanks.

How is the $2500 TY Prize contribution managed?

We commit to allocating $2500 of your $10,000 contribution to fund TY Prizes to deserving small business owners in the form of no-strings-attached cash prizes, tangible resources and/or fun experiences to help make their dreams come true. Ideally, these funds would be added to our general TY Prize budget without any specific parameters attached as there is no room in the budget to include custom management.

If you would like to target a specific category of small business owners, we can work together to ensure that your funding is used to support business owners that fit within your geographic footprint and represent any particular demographics that you would like to help directly.

What reach can I expect for my investment?

The power of TYSB is the network of fellow Partners, Champions, and small businesses who have received TY Prizes and have been profiled in our TY Stories. When we release your custom social campaign and our Quarterly E-Mag, we ask that all involve also share it out to their network, dramatically increasing our reach. The combined network of our current global community results in well over 1M+ direct impressions. Your launch press release will also be sent out with paid distribution, increasing your exposure and press mentions. Finally, the TY Merch and Cards will allow you to engage your employees reaching hundreds of real small business owners, creating a very direct reach to your core clientele. Like everything, the more you collaborate with us, the more people we can generate.

What Additional Opportunities are available for Partnership and what exactly do I get?

The $10,000 Partner option is meant to be simple, easy, and fun, getting you engaged in the movement without taking a significant amount of time or money. If you believe in the mission of TYSB and want to do more, we would love that! We can work together to “add on” to your basic Partnership in the following ways:

  • Work together to create a Special Edition E-Mag focused on a topic important to your brand, releasing it to the entire TYSB community for sharing and distribution and through our social channels through a promotional campaign. (i.e., if you are an online therapy company, we create a special E-mag edition on small businesses’ resilience and the mental health challenges associated with it.)
  • Increase the size of your TYSB Merch order and use the additional hats, hoodies, t-shirts, or other items to create a large scale employee engagement initiative and/or send them out to small businesses in your community as a TY gift. (i.e., ordering an additional 500 Thank You Tumblers and give one to each member of your customer service team, creating an employee engagement and training moment for your front-line employees who connect with small businesses daily.)
  • Launch a large scale TY Card campaign to thank real small business owners. (i.e., creating a company-wide “Thank You Day” where every employee sends one personalized TY Card to a real small business owner that they love, creating a groundswell of thanks and feel-good moments.)
  • Create a branded TY Prize campaign focused on gifting more cash, more tangible resources and/or fun experiences to deserving small businesses, generating high media exposure and small business loyalty. (i.e., if you are an airline, create a contest to give out ten international flights to outstanding small businesses.)
Can I send promotional emails or make special offers via TYSB?

Not at the $10,000 Partner buy-in. At this level, all of our team’s energy will go towards launching our partnership in the right way, in the process, helping as many small businesses as possible. If you make an additional investment and would like to purchase one of our other opportunities as an extra, not only will we collaborate closely with your team to ensure your brand is rightfully represented, but we will also include any special offers and opportunities in the campaign that your brand is working on.

Do I have access to the Champions?

Yes! Our growing global network of TY Champions are movers and shakers in their local communities and economies. We highly recommend that you do something special for those Champions – which we are happy to facilitate at no cost – as a way to build loyalty from them to your brand.

How long does the Partnership last?

Your logo will remain on the TYSB website and E-Mag Partner Page indefinitely. Once you are a TYSB Partner – you will stay a TYSB Partner indefinitely! The press release, custom social campaign, TY Prize giveaways, and custom TY Merch and TY Cards campaign will all launch over a 90-120 day period. We hope that the first partnership engagement will go so well that you continue to work with TYSB and launch ongoing campaigns.

There is no official relationship with other Partners.
